The Women by Kristin Hannah
Best Selling author Kristin Hannah has a book coming soon! I LOVE Kristin Hannah, and always have her new releases on my read list. This one sounds incredibly promising! Set in the 1960’s, America is divided by war and politics, Vietnam is torn apart by tragedy and violence, and the women of this age witness it all.

The Covenant of Water by Abraham Verghese
Abraham Verghese follows three generations of an Indian family over the course of 70+ years. Tragedy follows the generations to an extent that borders on a haunted blood line. Can this family ever escape what appears to be their destiny?

2023 Summer Read: The House Keepers by Alex Hay
The House Keepers taps into the depths of human curiosity. How well do you ever truly know someone? It’s impossible to know for sure; even living under the same roof doesn’t offer the guarantee that you would know someone inside and out, or what they are capable of under the most dire circumstances.
In this unique setting at the turn of the 20th century, Mrs. King is not exactly what she seems. Rather than the innocent housekeeper as she appears, she was truly born into a family of thieves and con artists. When her past catches up to her, and Mrs. King is dismissed from her position, her true colors come out to play. Mrs. King has a secret planned for her previous employers, and if all goes well, she will rob them blind on the biggest night of the year.
The House Keepers is a don’t put down summer read for 2023!

Exciting New Release: Escaping Shadows by Kathleen Brooks
This is the newest release (book #10) of a larger series, which begins with Shadows Landing as the first novel. The Shadows series counters Kathleen Brooks’ previous Bluegrass books.
The Shadow books are a light read, but perfect for summer if you are travelling and need to fill your time! It’s part mystery, part relationship, and just an interesting Fiction series.
Taking place in a small South Carolina town, the books all portray some interesting drama that takes place in the most unlikely of places. It centers around the Faulkner family, who seem to continually find themselves at the center of attention, whether it is wanted or not!
There are some interesting characters, funny anecdotes and good story lines. It’s worth reading if you are looking for a new series!
